General Information

Our doctors are happy to see children referred by their family doctors or other specialists. We do need a referral from your doctor before we can schedule an appointment. Our office will call you with a date and time for your appointment and whether the appointment  will be virtual or in person. A re-referral is needed if you have not seen your pediatrician over a 6 month period. For follow up appointments, please call the office during phone hours as we do not book appointment through emails. Thank you and we look forward to meeting you. 

Your scheduled appointment has been reserved specifically for your child. We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. There will be fee for no show or last minute cancellation. 

For prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to fax our office a prescription request at (604)266-1583. Please allow 2 weeks’ notice as our pediatricians may not be in the office every day to sign it.

For some situations, the doctor wants forms to be completed by the family and the school. Your Medical Office Assistant will let you know what forms to download and have completed for the appointment. Hard copies are preferred if you are coming in person, or email is fine if it is a Zoom appointment (include email address). 

 Please note the BC Provincial Officer of Health strongly recommends the wearing of masks/ face coverings in medical offices, in medical offices during the cold and flu season. Adult and child sized surgical masks will be provided in the office.

If you or your child is experiencing any infectious symptoms such as fever, new cough, severe, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new rash, please call the office prior to coming in to your appointment. Your appointment may be switched to telehealth or rescheduled. If it is necessary for your child to be seen in person that day, advance notice will allow us to take appropriate precautions to avoid spread of infection to other patients and staff.
