Oakridge Pediatrics is the name of an association of general pediatric specialists who share office space, clinic staff and resources at Oakridge Centre in Vancouver, BC.

Dr. Michelle Clarke completed her medical training at Dalhousie University and her Pediatrics residency at the University of British Columbia. She obtained her subspecialty certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and has worked in the Emergency department at BC Children’s Hospital as well as with the Division of General Pediatrics
Dr. Michelle Clarke completed her medical training at Dalhousie University and her Pediatrics residency at the University of British Columbia. She obtained her subspecialty certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and has worked in the Emergency department at BC Children’s Hospital as well as with the Division of General Pediatrics for a number of years. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a member of the Canadian and the BC Pediatric Societies. Dr. Clarke has a strong interest in medical education and was program director for the Pediatric emergency medicine subspecialty training program at UBC from 2010-2014. She continues to be very involved in resident and medical student education. Dr. Clarke provides general pediatric care across the full pediatric age span from newborns to adolescents. Areas of special interest include asthma, eczema, childhood injuries, and child development and behaviour.
Dr . Emily Fisher , MD, MSC, FRCPC, grew up in Vancouver. She completed her pediatrics residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and her sub-specialty training in developmental pediatrics at B.C Children's Hospital and the University of British Columbia. She obtained her medical degree at Tel Aviv University School of Medicin
Dr . Emily Fisher , MD, MSC, FRCPC, grew up in Vancouver. She completed her pediatrics residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and her sub-specialty training in developmental pediatrics at B.C Children's Hospital and the University of British Columbia. She obtained her medical degree at Tel Aviv University School of Medicine in 2017.
Prior to entering medicine, Dr. Fisher competed her Master of Science in medical genetics at UBC. Dr. Fisher's master's thesis project prepared her for more advocacy-based research. During her medical studies in Israel , she was involved with novel research on fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) . Her project served as the first ascertainment study of its kind in Israel and helped families advocate for awareness, education, and services. She continues her involvement in advocacy based research in child and youth care. Her current interests include the social determinants of health (SDoH) and the development of culturally safe and equitable health care practices.
Dr . Fisher currently works as a developmental pediatrician at Sunny Hill Health Centre at BCCH in the complex development and behavioral conditions (CDBC) and the B.C. autism association network (BCAAN) clincs. She is involved in outreach to under-served communites such as nothern B.C. She works in the inner city with the Responsive Intersectional Child Community Health Education and Research (RICHER) program, as well as the Craniofacial cleft lip and palate clinic at B.C. Children's Hospital .
Dr. Fisher currently works one day a week at Oakridge Pediatrics as a developmental pediatrics consultant. She cares for all pediatrics issues as well as developmemtal and behavioural challenges such as learning/school problems, difficult behavior, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, difficulties associated with adverse childhood experiences, autism, and other neurodevelopmetal condition. She also takes interest in child and youth mental health. Dr. Fisher is most passionate about the human aspects of care and she brings experience with social justice to her work.
Dr. Paul Korn received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 1979 and a Medical Degree from McMaster University in 1982. He completed his Residency in Pediatrics in 1986 and a Fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine the following year. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon

He completed his Residency in Pediatrics in 1986 and a Fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine the following year. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the British Royal Society of Medicine. He served as the University of British Columbia Division Head for General Pediatrics for 15 years, and was the Acting of Head of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and the Division of Adolescent Medicine. He was the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at B.C. Children's Hospital for five years. His specific interests are in the field of Pediatric Concussion and Headaches. He is a member of the B.C. Concussion Advisory Network. His passion is travel, and he thoroughly enjoys the Performing and Visual Arts.

Dr. Prendville was Head of the Divisioin of Pediatric Dermatology at British Columbia's Children's Hospital from 1990-2018. She is an Emeritus Clinical Professor in Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia. She is a past president of the Society of Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr. Prendiville provides consultations for children with all types of skin problem, including atopic dematitis, eczema, acne, psoriasis, birthmarks and genetic skin disorders.
Dr. Svetlana Ruzic is a Royal College certified general pediatrician. She completed medical school at the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and pediatric residency at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Svetlana Ruzic is a Royal College certified general pediatrician. She completed medical school at the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and pediatric residency at the University of British Columbia. She is a Faculty at BC Children’s Hospital working in the division of Oncology and Hematology and at Royal Columbian Hospital as an integral part of general pediatric group. In the past fifteen years, Dr. Ruzic was working in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at B.C. Children’s Hospital as part of transport team providing urgent care in life-threatening emergencies for children in remote area. She also worked at St. Paul Hospital in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Ruzic's medical interest lies in newborn and infant care, general children and adolescent pediatrics, hematology and in complex learning and behavioral conditions. In addition, Dr. Ruzic is the preceptor for the Nurse Practitioner students, medical students and residents as she loves teaching and supporting their endeavors. Dr. Ruzic is an active member of the Ethics Committee at BCCH, member of the British Columbia Pediatric Society and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

She practices in a variety of capacities including emergency medicine at BC Children’s Hospital and outreach general pediatrics to northern British Columbia. She is involved in cultural sensitivity workshops with the University of British Columbia Health Science disciplines and has a special interest in the health and wellness of Indigenous peoples of Canada. Dr. Tait is thankful to practice on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territories of the səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish) and šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam) First Nations, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Dr. Ruth Wingerin is originally from Cape Town South Africa, where she did her Medical training at the University of Cape Town. After graduating in 1986, she completed her internship at Groote Schuur Hospital and Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town before moving to North America to complete her Paediatric studies. She started her Paediatric training at the Schneider Children's Hospital in Long Island, New York and then transferred to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where she completed her residency in Pediatrics. Her final year of training was in Child Psychiatry with a special interest in ADHD. She worked in the field of Developmental Paediatrics in Toronto until she and her family moved to British Columbia in 1996. Since moving to BC she has held several positions including working for the BCAAN Autism network at Sunny Hill from 1997 until 2012. She has also worked for the Northern Health Authority where she completed Autism Assessments in communities in BC that do not have full time access to specialist services. Dr. Wingerin has worked at Monarch House since it was established in 2009 and now divides her time between her Developmental Paediatric practice in Vancouver and her work at Monarch House. She assesses children for Autism and also provides consultation to parents of children with an Autism diagnosis. Dr. Wingerin has extensive experience with Autism diagnosis and management, and understands the struggles of parents, as she too has a son with Autism.

Dr. Yong has extensive and varied experience in General and Acute Pediatrics. Dr. Yong also received sub-specialty training in Biochemical and Kidney Diseases. His clinical skills range from newborns to young children. Over the years Dr. Yong has also provided medical lead in underserved areas throughout the world. He has worked extensively in Ethiopia, South America, Indian sub-continent, Southeast Asia and China.
With his accumulated international experience Dr. Yong has affirmed a single theme in the care of children – the care of children starts with the family. Dr. Yong is a firm believer in involving the family in medical decision for the children. The care of children is not just about a medical condition, it also entails the cultural and social values of the family.
Dr. Yong welcomes the care of children in all areas of Pediatrics. Whether it is a first-time parent with a colicky baby or the complex care of a child with multiple medical conditions, Dr. Yong believes in working with the family to provide the best possible care.
